  • Survey Fall 2002 to Summer 2005

  • Design Fall 2004 to Fall 2006
  • Environmental January 2003 to Summer 2004
  • Righ of Way Acquisition Spring 2005 to Fall 2006
  • Public Involvement Spring 2003 to Fall 2006
  • Phased Construction Winter 2006 to end of 2008

The current phase of the project, design, is underway. Future
phases--right-of-way acquisition, utilities and construction are more
speculative because funding is periodically evaluated by statewide planning.

To determine the current funding schedule for the project check the STIP
page of the DOT's web site at www.dot.state.ak.us.

To find the current STIP go to "DOT&PF Quicklinks" and then to "Plans and Projects" then "Needs and Statewide Transportation Improvements Program (STIP)." You can download in Adobe Acrobat the current document and search for Trunk Road -- this will tell you what the current plan is.
